Shopping in Santiago

Every time we travel we have to leave a space to go shopping. In South America, people from countries neighboring Chile often come for shopping. This is why being in Santiago, you can’t miss the opportunity to go around certain places and give yourself a taste buying something.

Some of the places we recommend are:

Alto Las Condes

In the  Alto Las Condes mall you can find a variety of shops, a supermarket, department stores, a cinema, a food place (where they sell cheaper food) and the “Mirador del Alto” where you can find  restaurants.

Costanera Center

Costanera Center is the biggest shopping center in Santiago, the building where is located is 300 meters high (985 feet), making it the largest building in Latin America. Here you will find a lot of variety in stores, because there is a lot, and there is a lot of places to eat also. At the top of this building is located Skyline Costanera where you can experience the 360º view of the entire city.

If you would like to buy handmade things, Pueblito los Domínicos is the ideal place to visit. In this place the stores are made of mud and on the roofs there are leaves of palm trees.

Parque Arauco:

In Parque Arauco you will also find a variety of stores, since it is one of the largest shopping centers in Santiago. Here as in most of the mall you will find a places to eat, where there is fast and cheap food, but there is also a boulevard, where you will find many restaurants and a luxury sector, where you will find several famous shops such as Gucci, Dolce Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, and others.
