Chilean Hot Dog: “El Completo”

Just like in Chile we have our typical dishes, or our own words, we also have our own adaptations of dishes from other countries. This happens without a doubt with the hot-dog, known worldwide for bringing ketchup or mustard. Well, in our country, we thought that these ingredients were very basic, so we decided to add different products for the different tastes of each person. Below, you will find a list that will leave you wanting to taste a chilean completo ASAP:

 

Completo: tomato cubes, mayonnaise, sauerkraut, american sauce and avocado.

A lo pobre: ​​egg and fried onion, with melted cheese.

Alemán: tomato, sauerkraut and mayonnaise.

Atómico: tomato cubes, mayonnaise, sauerkraut, american sauce, avocado and hot pepper.

Brasileño: melted cheese and avocado. It is called like that because the ingredients have the same colors as the brazilian flag.

Español: paprika and mayonnaise. It is called like that because the ingredients have the same colors as the flag of Spain.

Italiano: avocado, mayonnaise and tomato. It is called like that because the ingredients have the same colors as the flag of Italy. The most common in Chile, you can add different dressings, such as mustard or ketchup, salt or pepper.

Luco: melted cheese.
