Wine tours in Central valleys, Chile!

Currently, Chile is recognized worldwide as one of the largest and best quality producers of wine.

Wine is an essential beverage in Chilean culture. The wine production has its origins with the arrival of Spanish conquerors. It began to export in the mid-eighteenth century, but it was not until the late nineteenth century when its artisanal production began to industrialize.

Here are some options:

1. Wine Route (Casablanca):

– Option A: On this half-day tour you will meet and taste wines from the Veramonte Vineyard. Then, you will have two options: get to know Viña Emiliana, characterized by the flora and fauna that surrounds it, or Viña Catrala, where you will get to know the wineries and vineyard halls. In both options you will end up with a wine tasting.

– Option B: In this tour, also half a day, you will get to know Catrala Vineyard, all its surroundings and also its interior, as are the halls and wineries, ending with the tasting of 4 wines and cheeses from the area.

Price: 37,500 CLP

– Option C: The last half-day option includes a visit to two wineries, Viña Loma Larga and Viña Kingston, both family, where you will have a personalized attention and you will know all the details of the vineyard. To finish, you will have the tasting of two glasses of wine.

Price: 39,500 CLP

• Casablanca is approximately one hour from Santiago. The services do not include transportation. To get to the tours, you must take a bus to Casablanca and then take a taxi or bus to the beginning of the tour, be it Viña Veramonte, Viña Catrala, Viña Loma Larga or Viña Indómita.
• The tours have a duration of 2.5 hours and are in Spanish or English.
• The hours are: 10.30 – 12.30 – 14.00 – 16.00

2. Viña Indómita:

Also located in the Casablanca Valley, Viña Indómita offers a “classic” tour where you can visit the vineyard’s Mirador, winemaking rooms and barrels, culminating with the tasting of 3 wines and a gift glass.

In addition, you can book a lunch in the restaurant of the vineyard if you wish.

Price: 12,000 CLP

• The tours last 45 minutes and are in Spanish or English.

3. Viña Concha y Toro:

Known for being the top wine exporter in Latin America and one of the ten largest wine companies in the world, Viña Concha y Toro offers a tour where you can learn about the different gardens and parks that surround it, as well as its renowned mansion. You will have the option of knowing the gardens in which the 26 different strains that Concha y Toro offers, as well as tasting 3 wines and bringing a gift glass.

Price: 12,000 CLP / 27 USD

• The tour is located in Pirque and does not include transportation.
• The tours have a duration of 60 minutes and are in Spanish, English or Portuguese.
• The hours are from 10.00 to 17.10.

4. Vinolia (Santiago):

Although great importance of the tours is to know the beauty of the vineyards and their operation, there is the option of being a wine lover and just want to taste. For this reason, the Vinolia restaurant, located in the Vitacura district, offers a virtual tour where you will get to know different stories and aromas of wines from the valleys of Colchagua and Casablanca, as well as a guided tasting by winemakers.

Price: 57 USD
