A few steps away of the historical “Plaza Italia” starts this neighborhood with the Law School of “Universidad de Chile” and ends at “San Cristobal” hill bottom.

It is the bohemian neighborhood for excelence in Santiago. In its classic main avenue “Pio Nono” and in their surrounding streets you will find all kind of restaurants, pubs, bars and nightclubs.

If you want a calm evening there is a perfect place for that. “Patio Bellavista” has a great offer to dinner or have a drink with alive music with cozy atmosphere.

Anyway Bellavista is not just nightlife. In the cultural field you can spend a day visiting the very famous Pablo Neruda’s house or “Palacio Lehuedé”. Also there are a lot of theaters where you can find the most avant-garde works of Chilean theater.

Finally, a must to do in this neighborhood is to take the “San Cristobal” hill cableway. There is a viewpoint to admire the sunset projected in the city and the Andes mountain range.

Where to go:

  • Museum “La chascona”, Pablo Neruda’s house
  • Patio Bellavista
  • Parque Metropolitano
  • Calle Pío Nono
