Prices you must know

If this is your first week of exchange in Chile and you are not sure about the prices of  food,  you will find a list below with the basics that you will likely to buy during your stay in the country.

-Rice (1kg): $ 1,200

-Bread (1kg): $ 1,200

-Cheese (¼ kg): $ 1,800

-Eggs (6): $ 1,000

-Meat (¼ kg): $ 4,000

-Fruits and vegetables (1kg): $ 1,000

-Water (1.5 liters): $ 700

-Milk (1 liter): $ 750

-Beer (supermarket 500 cc): $ 800

-Beer (pub): $ 2,500

-Food at the university: $ 2,800

Another tip:

We also think that it is  important to know the price of the public transportation so that you can move around the city. Here are the prices for each one of them.

-Micro (buss) in Santiago (1 trip): $ 660

-Santiago metro (1 trip): $ 680 / $ 760

-School pass (1 trip): $ 220
